The Daycare Administrator Certificate Program is one that focuses on the provision and management of child care services. This program prepares individuals to plan, design, and manage child care facilities and programs that meet children's developmental needs and interests. This course will explore the requirements of building programs that provide safe and healthy environments for student's and staff. The certification includes instruction in child development and psychology; institution-based child care; identification of diseases, injuries, and psychological trauma and applicable referrals; parent relations; personnel and business management principles; and related laws and policies. It provides administrative candidates with an opportunity to earn professional recognition beyond secondary education or if their degree is in a different field. Graduates may find suitable employment in the child care industry as a director, assistant director, administrative professional or director of a registered home. Upon completion of this program students will be able to apply their knowledge base and improve their skill level in a child care environment.
Admission Requirements
Individuals applying for this course are required to:
  • Be at least 21 years of age or older
  • Have a High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • 2 Years experience in a licensed childcare facility.

  • Classes are offered every month
  • Classes are offered from 8:00am - 6:00pm, Saturday and Sunday
  • Students complete off-site observations and create a professional resource file that is comprehensive of everything covered in the class
  • Students may begin working on the resource file and observations before class starts
